Control Ring For Direct Setting Changes
The Canon RF100-300mm F2.8 L IS USM lens features a Control ring on the lens barrel that enables direct adjustment of various settings, such as shutter speed, aperture, and exposure compensation. This ring is located towards the front of the lens and provides an additional dial alongside the main dial and quick control dial on the EOS R camera. Focus Preset Button

With the Extender RF1.4x, the effective telephoto power can be expanded to 140-420mm at f/4, while the Extender RF2x provides an effective range of 200-600mm at f/5.6. These extenders enable photographers to capture images with even greater telephoto reach when required, and they can be removed easily to convert the lens back to f/2.8 for low-light situations.
