TTArtisan has released its new lens – TTArtisan 35mm f/1.8 lens. This lens is an excellent fit for many cameras, such as Sony E, Fujifilm X, and Nikon Z mount. The lens is priced at $149, and TTArtisan claims that this lens is well fit for a wide range of subjects and its autofocus is driven by an STM plus “lead-screw type structure,” which can offer quiet and fast autofocus for taking excellent images. According to TTArtisan, this lens’s autofocus motor is perfect and supports eye detection on different cameras, such as Sony, Fujifilm, and Nikon.

“With its rapid and precise autofocus capabilities, The TTArtisan 35mm f/1.8 ensures that every shot is captured in exquisite detail, eliminating the frustration of missed moments and blurred images. At the heart of its design is the versatile 35mm focal length, which effortlessly transitions between wide-angle and standard views, making it a versatile choice for various photographic genres,” the company says.

In terms of focal length, when used on APS-C mirrorless cameras, the 35mm f/1.8 lens will provide an equivalent field of view to that of a 50mm lens on full-frame cameras.

When it comes to the lens structure, this lens is equipped with ten elements in 8 groups. Also, it has one extra-low dispersion glass element, which can help photographers to reduce chromatic aberration. Additionally, this 35mm f/1.8 lens has two high refractive index elements.

Speaking of its aperture, this camera lens comes with an aperture range of f/1.8 through f/16 via a nine-bladed diaphragm, offering soft and excellent soft bokeh with a pleasant look to the out-of-focus area.

The lens features a close focusing distance of 0.6 meters (approximately 23.6 inches) and has a front filter size of 52mm. It has a lightweight construction, weighing only 199 grams (around 7.02 ounces). While the lens and barrel mount is made of aluminium, it is worth noting that most other components are primarily plastic. However, it has a metal lens hood with a rectangular opening, providing added protection and functionality.

According to TTArtisan, the lens offers a maximum aperture of f/1.8, allowing exceptional low-light performance. With this wide aperture, you can capture stunning images in dimly lit environments without relying on a flash, preserving the natural ambience of the scene.
Additionally, TTArtisan has incorporated a USB-C port in the 35mm f/1.8 lens, enabling firmware upgrades to be performed in the future and ensuring that the lens remains up-to-date with any improvements or enhancements.
